Who we are

Coldwater Productions is a small craft studio in Willard, Utah, run by Darren & Kristi Jex - dedicated to creating meaningful, handcrafted pieces that bring personality, warmth, and story into every home. Every item that leaves our shop is designed, cut, and finished by hand, right here in Utah. We make and ship products all over the United States. No overseas factories, no mass production — just a real person making sure your piece turns out right.

Coldwater Productions started as a hobby. What changed everything was a fundraiser: we started making coasters to help support the Tremonton-Garland Police Department, and seeing how much those pieces meant to the people who received them pushed us to take the craft further. From there, we expanded into custom pieces for the community — and eventually beyond it. Since then we've made everything from family keepsakes and missionary items, to memorial pieces for local police and fire departments — and we still personally review and finish every single order.

How We Work

Handcrafted, not mass-produced.

Every piece starts as a custom design, laser-cut from premium wood (walnut, maple, birch, alder) or engraved on stainless steel and slate. We hand-assemble layered pieces, hand-finish every surface, and personally check each order before it ships — which is why no two pieces are ever exactly alike, and why our engraving never fades, peels, or washes off.

We work directly with customers on custom requests — no call centers, no chatbots. If you email or message us, you're talking to the person who's actually going to make your piece.

In 2025-2026, we helped raise funds to send Tremonton-Garland officers and their spouses to Washington, D.C. for National Police Week — read the full KSL article here.
